Moving Advice

Ensure a seamless experience, with our notes for a smooth move

Preparation is key

Advance planning and preparation, will ensure the move day is a smooth  experience.

Remember to keep us updated on the progress of your completion and any changes to the plan. Delays and unexpected issues are best dealt with in advance of the move day.

Ensure we have full access to the property at the agreed time on the day, to avoid difficult logistical delays.

We will need you to be present during the move, and take responsibility for any children and pets at the locations.

Electrical cables and plumbing should be disconnected where necessary, in advance of the move. We also ask you to remove items from your loft and place them in a suitable place for our packing and removal.

In advance of move day, clearly mark any items not to be moved. Also, keep any personal items segregated that you will need for the move period, such as clothing, medication, laptop, important documents and food.

Our promise to you

We will be courteous, respectful and professional. We will arrive at the agreed time and location, and communicate all further timings for the move, where possible.

We will protect your furniture, carpets and flooring in both removal and delivery locations. Doors will be taken off and replaced as necessary to move your items in and out of the properties. We will dissemble and reassemble furniture, as agreed with you at the survey.

All boxes will be labelled with room destination and contents.  Upon delivery, all furniture and boxes will be placed in the room you specify. If you opt for our unpacking service, we will empty all contents in the relevant room.

We will collect flat, dry boxes up to one month after you move in. If boxes are left outside, they may get damp, so cannot be re-used or collected.
